Defending champions set to face either Uruguay or Colombia
Canada valiant but ultimately overwhelmed in semi-final
Defending champions Argentina comfortably defeated Canada 2-0 on Tuesday night to advance to the final of the 2024 Copa América.
Lionel Messi scored his 109th international goal to give Argentina the lead in the 15th minute, and Lautaro MartÃnez added a second goal in the 58th minute to seal the victory.
Canada put in a valiant effort, but they were ultimately overwhelmed by the superior quality of Argentina's team.
Argentina will now face either Uruguay or Colombia in the final, which will be played on Sunday.
This will be Argentina's first Copa América final since 2021, when they defeated Brazil to win the title.
